Important Information from the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Annex

Annex Guests,

Over the weekend, we had numerous instances of spectators sneaking people into the Annex to watch youth hockey games. As a reminder, each player is allowed 1 spectator. Starting 2/8 if this happens again we will no longer allow spectators at any hockey related activities.

Each spectator and player must wear a mask at all times. The only exception to this mandate is when a player has to adjust their mask on the ice. Each person must enter through the front door, get their temperature taken and answer the questions by an Annex employee.

Coaches, scorekeepers, penalty box assistants do not count towards the 1 spectator per player. They must be on the list sent over by the team manager.

Children under the age of 7 are allowed to come in with an adult. They must remain seated, not running around the building and be wearing a mask.

If you need to make an exception to the 1 spectator please have the team manager email lees@cityofws.org by Thursday at Noon. Each case will be reviewed and a decision will be made based on number of requests.

We want to be as accommodating to all spectators but at the same time keeping everyone safe and following Governor Cooper’s mandate of 25 people indoors for a game.

Thanks,

Annex Ice Rink Staff
