2021 Season Update
Hope that you and your families are healthy and safe. As we all continue to navigate the effects of COVID 19 in our daily lives I wanted to provide you an update as relates to the 2021 THA Season.
Following our recent Carolina Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) meeting as well as recent changes loosening restrictions by local and state governments, we are beginning to see some clarity as to the start of the 2021 Hockey Season.
2021 THA Tryouts:
Due to restrictions with COVID 19, tryout dates continue to be on hold until further notice.
We now have two potential start dates for 2021 THA Tryouts.
These are only tentative at this time and depends on many community factors as the situation continues to be very fluid. CAHA is mandating certain criteria be adhered to for all affiliates such as a common start date. It is still our intention to schedule skills and/or practice sessions so players can prepare for tryouts in advance. There is a CAHA Meeting in early June and it is our hope that we will be able to set tryout dates at that time. We will communicate to you as the situation develops.
Survey:
As things are changing with our daily routines we thought it helpful to receive your feedback related to the upcoming season and how our program might look. We do anticipate some changes and want to know your thoughts as we develop the 2021 program structure. You will be receiving a short survey in the coming days and we ask that you take a few minutes to complete as it will be a valuable tool in our efforts to present an amateur ice hockey program that works for all.
I know that we all are looking forward to life returning to normal and we ask for your patience as we traverse these unique challenges.
