Triad Storm Travel Hockey
This registration will pay your tryout fee, and will be used for sending team offers after tryouts.

10U-16U - $150
18U - $75
Ages
We anticipate two teams at 10U, 12U, and 14U. One team each at 16U and 18U.
Subject to change based on extended and accepted offers.
Season Dates
Tryouts are May 1-3. The Travel season may start as early as June for placement games and continues through March.
Program Structure
Program Notes
- Included in the program structure, all teams will participate in an outdoor game at the rink in Charlotte.
- THA will travel as an organization to at least 2 tournaments.
- *White team head coaches will be announced during tryouts.
- **Both 14U teams, as well as the 16U and 18U teams, will attend a tournament in Lake Placid, NY.
Games/Practices
Home games and practices will be at our two home rinks, Greensboro Ice House and the Winston-Salem Annex.
Expected Cost
10U & 12U - $3,850
14U, 16U, 18U - $4,250
$250 commitment fee will be due when your player signs up for the team. The remaining balance may be paid in full, or monthly payments will be drafted on the 15th of the month from June - December.
Jerseys/Socks/Shells
All players are required to have Storm warmups (jacket and pants), which will be provided by the organization.
- New players must purchase:
- Home and away jerseys
- Socks
- Pant shell
- Full apparel package
- Returning players may:
- Reuse jerseys, socks, and pant shell from the previous season, or
- Purchase individual items as needed
All apparel orders must be placed during registration, which will be sent within one week following tryouts. Jersey sizers will be available at the rink during tryouts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the Red Helmets and gloves available through THA?
These are not available through THA. Any manufacturer red helmets and gloves are acceptable. The pro shop at the Greensboro Ice House may have stock available.
Are these tryouts for House League?
These tryouts are for Travel Players ONLY. House league players are not required to tryout. House League signups will happen over the summer.
